Kewtech ELC900 Voltage Detection Kit

The Kewtech ELC900 Voltage Detection Kit includes both the Kewtech KEW1795 voltage indicator (with digital readout) and the Kewtech KEWPROVE 3 Proving Unit complete within one carry case. The KEW1790 meets the Health and Safety GS 38 safety recommendations for exposed tips on the test probes.

Most 17th edition Part P engineers are aware of the importance of safety when working on electrical installations. With the ELC900 voltage detection kit a user can ensure the electrical circuit is safe to work on prior to undertaking any major alterations. The kit consists of Kewtech KT1795 a two pole voltage indicator capable of measuring up to 690V AC/DC with the addition of LED indication and full digital read out. To further improve user safety the indicator meets the latest international standards IEC 61243-3, IEC 61010-1 and measurement category CAT IV 600V. This particular voltage indicator can undertake phase rotation, continuity, single pole, polarity and voltage tests.

All voltage detectors should be tested before and after use with a proving unit to confirm the long term reliability of results given whilst testing live circuits.

The second part of the kit contains a Kewtech KEWPROVE 3 Proving Unit Kewtech's best selling Proving Unit. This proving unit has been designed to output 690V AC DC with two easy to use contact points. The primary function of the proving unit is to enable a user to verify the KT1795 voltage detector. The Kewprove is a natural accompaniment to the KT1795 as it ensures live circuits are highlighted prior to major work which keep engineers safe onsite. A Kewprove 3 can also check the integrity of fuses in fused test leads. The Kewtech KEWPROVE 3 proving unit can also be mounted via its base.

The KEWPROVE Proving unit puts out a hazardous voltage and must only be used by a qualified person and in accordance with the manufacturers instruction supplied with the unit.

All voltage detectors should be tested before and after use with a proving unit to confirm the long term reliability of results given whilst testing live circuits.
