Fluke 1664FC Multifunction Tester (EVSE version)

The Fluke 1664FC Multifunction Tester (EVSE version) is a safe and efficient electrical testing tool. This unit can read True-RMS AC voltage, resistance, loop and line impedance, tripping speed, prospective earth fault current, earth resistance and RCD/FI tripping current. Convenience has been considered in the design of this tester, with a large and easy-to-read LCD display and time-saving features such as auto-testing for line impedance, RCD trigger test and insulation tests.

The Fluke 1664FC when used alongside an adaptor such as the Fluke FEV300 (available separately) allows for testing of EV charging stations DC protection devices using the RCD type B (smooth DC Currents) VAR mode. This generator tests currents for RCD type A-EV or RDC-DD acc can test according to IEC 62955 (6/60/200 mA and ramp <2 to 6 mA ramp) safety standards. This allows the operator to quickly and easily perform additional testing of 6mA DC RCD monitors on charging points.

A simple dial system forms this unit’s user interface, avoiding the often confusing menu-driven systems of many multifunction testers. Other time-saving features include Z-Max memory for loop tests to support easy evaluation of highest loop test value. The 1664FC also possesses some impressive safety features, with its CAT III 500V overvoltage protection and Earth Volt Touchpad able to detect raised earth voltages (>50 V), highlighting potentially dangerous situations.

Fluke provides compatibility with their Fluke Connect technology with this tester, allowing users to connect through the Fluke Connect App and stream results directly to any Apple or Android mobile device. In addition, the data can be uploaded and stored within the FlukeCloud database, available to team members and colleagues around the world. The 1664FC comes complete with a padded beck strap, test leads, probe set, a remote probe, batteries, mains cable, calibration certificate and hard carry case.
