Fluke SMFT-1000 Solar PV Multifunction Tester and I-V Curve Tracer

The Fluke SMFT-1000 Solar PV Multifunction Tester and I-V Curve Tracer is targeted at PV professionals for the installation, commission and maintenance of PV systems in both commercial and Industrial industries that operate at 1000V DC or below.  The SMFT-1000 offers full sequence testing to IEC 62446-1 Category 1 standards and System performance testing to IEC 62446-1 category 2 standards. For category 1 testing, protective resistance RLO, Voltage on an open circuit including polarity VOC, short circuit current ISC and insulation resistance RINS. For category 2 testing the SMFT-1000 can test irradiance, temperature, tilt and cardinal direction. 

Fluke SMFT-1000 Colour screen

The SMFT-1000 has a colour screen with integrated interface with on screen instructions providing an easy walk through of tests. Switching the SMFT-1000 to Auto Test mode allows for automatic sequence testing in a variety of combinations such as, with or without insulation tests, IEC 62446-1 testing for category 1 and category 1 and 2. IEC 624460-1 testing for protection class I and class III.

The Fluke SMFT-1000 is safety rated to CAT III 1000V DC and CAT III 700V AC. Using Flukes 'keep the leads' system removing the hassle off changing the configuration of test leads whilst doing different test, users are able to reduce both setup time and errors when testing PV systems.

Fluke I-V Curve Tracer 

Fluke SMFT-1000 Solar PV Multifunction Tester and I-V Curve Tracer has in built I-V Curve tracer which allows a user to perform I-V Curve tracing. Should the measurement deviate from the expected system under test the tester will alert the user visually and audibly to allow further analysis to be undertaken to IEC 62446-1 category 2 standards. With I-V Curve insulation and resistance testing can be conducted up to 1000V.

Wireless Irradiance Meter

Working alongside the included Fluke IRR2-BT irradiance meter precise I-V curve measurements, real time irradiance and temperature data can be taken. The IRR-2 BT connects wirelessly to the SMFT-1000 allowing data to be communicated in real time. If communication is interrupted the IRR2-BT will continue to record any data for up to 17 hours that can be uploaded at a later time. The IRR-2 BT has a measurement range of 50 to 1400 W/m² and a temperature range of -30°C to 100°C.  The IRR2-BT allows users to make instant measurements to determine the watts per square meter solar irradiation, required by IEC 62446-1 standard. The IRR2-BT also includes a mounting bracket for accurate irradiance and temperature readings at the panel.

Visual inspection

To meet PV systems IEC regulations for visual inspections, the Fluke SMFT-1000 features a setting that can record observations to the internal memory. These observations can be later downloaded to the Fluke Trutest™ software and included into any report generated.

Fluke Premium Care Plan

The Fluke Premium Care Plan aims to reduce the cost of ownership of the SMFT 1000 by eliminating the service and support charges available as a one or three year option. The care plan includes one annual calibration per year at a Fluke Authorised Service Center. If any accessories originally shipped with the SMFT 1000 are discovered to be defective, these will be replaced free of charge once a year under the care plan.

If a users SMFT is accidentally damaged then repair of the tester will also be covered in the care plan, providing users with peace of mind should any unforeseen accidents happen.

With the Fluke Premium Care Plan the calibration, repair, collection and delivery of the SMFT 1000 will expedited reducing the downtime for the user.

Fluke TruTest™ Advanced Data Management and Reporting Software

Using the optional TruTest™ reporting and data management software from Fluke, the SMFT-1000 Solar PV Multifunction Tester and I-V Curve Tracer allows the data be be easily exported to an external device direct from the SMFT-1000 for further analysis and data storage without having to have a computer in the field. Data can be organised and analysed quickly and easily and compared to any previous measurements taken, allowing a comprehensive client report to be generated. Data can easily be formatted to produce printable test certificates and customised reports with your company logo and signature.

Trutest™ Software allows the user to choose from pre-defined test codes or alternatively, creating their own, ensuring the correct data is gathered. Live data can be viewed on screen using Flukes dashboard interface. Allowing technicians to view all their clients instantly.

Tree topology Flexible testing and reporting can be maintained through hierarchical tree topology, allowing large networks of clients, sites, locations and appliances to be easily managed.
